Smarty Pants

Tyler was asked to take part in the Duke University TIP Program that allows students in the 7th grade to take the ACT. We knew going into this that being in the 7th grade he had not covered a lot of the material. They only asked that he do his best... We got his results back and he scored an 18 WOW !!!!! Mike and I have a brain child... If he didn't look so much like Nic and Matt I would swear that he was switched at birth.
I stressed over all of this more than Tyler did. On the morning of the test, I was worried about being on time- what should he eat- how will he find where he was supposed to be- OMG he is going to be around a bunch of High School kids- will they give him bread and water during the break... of course it all worked out.
When I picked him up I was an emotional wreck. All I wanted to tell him was how proud I was of him and no matter what I knew he did his best. I couldn't even talk I was crying so bad. I think that it was such a stress relief that it was over. All he wanted to do was come home and play the X-box.
Next time he's on his own...
